Janel M. Hines

Vice president, community impact

Janel Hines joined the Foundation in 2011. As vice president of community impact, she advances the Foundation's strategic priorities related to its community leadership agenda and commitment to racial equity and inclusion through grantmaking, public policy, advocacy, community convening, and community and civic engagement. She has 25-plus years of comprehensive experience in nonprofit management and administration. Janel has extensive experience working with various populations and initiatives in economic development, child welfare, criminal justice and behavioral health. She serves on the board of directors for The Funders Network and is a Marquette University Women's Council member. Janel served on the Governor's Health Equity Council and is a Professionals Learning About Community, Equity and Sustainability alumna. The Women's Fund recognized her as a "Rad Milwaukee Woman." Janel received her Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
