Kathryn J. Dunn

Senior vice president and chief strategy officer

As the Foundation’s chief strategy officer, Kathryn J. Dunn is responsible for the strategic planning, leadership initiatives and ensuring strategic alignment of major projects across the Foundation. She previously served as the Foundation’s vice president of community impact, where she oversaw the direction, development and management of its grantmaking, scholarships and evaluation of grant outcomes and impact. Before joining the Foundation in 2011, she spent 14 years at the Helen Bader Foundation, where she specialized in community and economic development and workforce issues. Kathryn serves on a number of local and national planning committees for emerging economic development initiatives including the Community Development Alliance, Milwaukee Foreclosure Partnership Initiative, Milwaukee Area Workforce Funding Alliance and LISC Milwaukee. She is a certified economic development finance professional by the National Development Council and holds a master’s in business administration and a bachelor’s degree in journalism, both from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
