The greater Milwaukee community is fortunate to have so many professional advisers who take a personal interest in their clients’ goals and vision for the future. The Herbert J. Mueller Society is our way of saying thank you to these advisers who have recommended a fund at the Greater Milwaukee Foundation as an option for their charitably minded clients.
The society is named in memory of Herbert Mueller, a local estate planning attorney who, through his quiet efforts, helped shape the Foundation into the strong, stable and successful organization it is today. By the time of his death in 2001 at age 91, Mueller had worked with his clients to start more than a dozen Foundation funds with gifts totaling nearly $50 million.
Mueller never sought recognition for his efforts. But he took deep pride in the good he helped make possible. The society is pleased to recognize advisers who, like Mueller, are committed to their clients, philanthropy and the community.
