Laura Porfilio Glawe

Vice president, marketing and communications

As the leader of the Foundation’s Marketing and Communications team, Laura oversees brand development and management and articulation of the Foundation’s vision, mission and values. She partners to set and lead strategic communications including oversight for events such as the A Milwaukee for All convenings and liaison to the ThriveOn Collaboration. Prior to joining the Foundation in 2015, Glawe spent more than nine years at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, most recently as its assistant vice chancellor for integrated marketing and communications. 

Throughout her career, Glawe has held senior leadership roles with the National Funeral Directors Association and the AIDS Resource Center of Wisconsin. She is a two-time UW-Milwaukee grad with a Bachelor of liberal arts degree and Master’s degree in administrative leadership.
