Milwaukee Succeeds
Launched in 2011 by the Foundation and its partners, Milwaukee Succeeds is a leader in collaborative, educational systems change. It unites the community around a common goal: bringing about lasting change to the way education works for children in Milwaukee. Its vision of cradle-to-career success is centered on racial equity, community voice and changing systems, with particular focus on expanding access to early childhood education for Black and Brown families and improving the high school success trajectory for Black male youth.
From its home base at the Foundation, Milwaukee Succeeds convenes hundreds of partners—including youth and families with lived experience, educators, nonprofits, businesses, philanthropy and government— to transform systems and deliver long-term, equitable results for Milwaukee’s youth. Designated as a Systems Change Organization by the StriveTogether Cradle to Career Network, its collective impact approach has resulted in the alignment of tens of millions of public and private dollars with data-informed, community-driven policies and practices to ensure all children have the resources they need to succeed.
