Funding Opportunities

The Greater Milwaukee Foundation’s discretionary grantmaking supports general operating costs, projects, and programs aligned to priorities that support our strategic vision of creating a Milwaukee for all.

We also have many charitable funds that conduct their own grant cycles throughout the year. Select the grant program to learn more about each opportunity, its criteria, timeline and appropriate contact.

Greater Milwaukee Foundation cycles

Grants made through these cycles are approved by the Foundation’s Board.

Partner Foundation cycles

Each partner foundation has a volunteer advisory board comprising local leaders who know the needs and strengths of their individual communities. The grants awarded through these cycles are reviewed and approved by those boards.

Other funding opportunities

Grants made through these programs are separate from the Foundation’s regular grant cycles.
