As part of its continued dedication to convening and following community voice, the Greater Milwaukee Foundation has expanded its capacity to welcome groups and organizations into its space to host meetings, workshops or small gatherings.

Earlier this year, when the Foundation moved to ThriveOn King, it built in additional space to share with community including several conference rooms, meeting rooms and more.

“Making it available to our community partners is a real joy,” Benjamin Porter, a Foundation program officer, said. “It’s a tremendous resource and folks really appreciate how it can ease the burden of the work that they do.”

Over 80 groups throughout Milwaukee have already taken advantage of this opportunity.

MKE Fellows held its professional development session at the Foundation over the summer. The organization works with African American college-bound men and helps them find internships, mentors, civic engagement opportunities and more.

“I think the central location of this place is so important for our community,” John Daniels III, executive director of MKE Fellows, said. “Having something right in the hub that has state-of-the-art technology was so convenient for our college students.”

Meeting and event space is available to rent on the first floor as well.
